LOUDER THAN LIFE 2025:

The much-anticipated release of the full line-up for this year's Louder Than Life finally arrived on Wednesday afternoon.
And the announcement promoted metalheads — young and old — in the Bluegrass ... and beyond ... to enthusiastically throw their fists in the air.
An amazing collection of some of the top hard rock/hard rock/metal artists of all time are set to appear at the festival, which is scheduled for Sept. 18 through 21 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Slayer, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Deftones, Cannibal Corpse, Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Omens, A Percent Circle, Dream Theater, Breaking Benjamin, Sleep Token and Bring Me The Horizon are among the highlights of the 160 bands ready to hit to the six stages at the Highland Festival Grounds.
“Louder Than Life has always been about showcasing the future of rock and heavy music while honoring the legends who paved the way," said Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents. "This is where the past, present, and future of heavy music collide.”
That collision of legends and the next generation of headliners, along with special appearances, reunions and full-album performances will make Louder Than Life 2025 one of the most unique Danny Wimmer Presents festivals ever.
Slayer's set at last year's LTL had to be canceled because of the affects Hurricane Helene.
The thrash metal legends, though, were the first band announced for this year's bill. So far, Slayer has just three shows scheduled for this summer — with only one in the United States.
“We’re coming back to Louder Than Life in Louisville. Get ready f*ckers!” Slayer’s Tom Araya said.
LTL is also set to be Avenged Sevenfold's only U.S. heading show this year.
Rob Zombie will perform the iconic White Zombie album "Astro-Creep: 2000" in its entirety to celebrate the record's 30th anniversary in a one-night only, world-wide exclusive.
The Cavalera brothers — Igor and Max — are set to deliver the Sepultura album "Choas A.D.," in Louisville, while Trivium will play "Ascendancy" to celebrate the album's 20th anniversary.
DOWN will to commemorate 30 years of "NOLA" with the band's first Kentucky performance in 10 years.
In addition to Slayer, other reunion shows at LTL include: 12 Stones, Acid Bath, Chimaira, Chiodos, Crossfade, From First To Last, It Dies Today, Letlive., Snot, Spineshank and Winds of Plague.
In another DWP exclusive, the original line-up of Rev Theory reunites for the first time since 2014 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album, "Truth Is Currency."
Other bands celebrating milestones at LTL this year include: Accept (50th anniversary), Dope (25th anniversary), Dream Theater (40th anniversary), Kittie (25th anniversary of "Spit") and Fear Factory (30th anniversary of "Demanufacture").
Other legendary performers on the bill include: Mudvayne, Insane Clown Posse, Exodus, Testment, Stone Temple Pilots, Evanescence, Queensryche, Sebastian Bach, Yngwie Malmsteen Hatebreed and Crypress Hill.
Newer bands are also set to take the stage as well.
"Bands like Bring Me The Horizon, Sleep Token, Bad Omens, $uicideboy$, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, I Prevail, Slaughter To Prevail, Lorna Shore, Wage War, Dayseeker, and Knocked Loose aren’t just performing—they’re defining the next generation of headliners,” Wimmer said. “At the same time, pioneers like Slayer, Deftones, A Perfect Circle, and Avenged Sevenfold have set the standard, proving that this music is always evolving."
